Inaugural Workshop
& Second Doctoral Research Symposium
We are pleased to announce that the AI and Big Data in Finance Research Forum (ABFR) will host its inaugural Workshop and second Doctoral Research Symposium, in conjunction with the NBS Conference on AI for Finance. The workshop and symposium will take place at Nanyang Technological University (Singapore) on 21 November 2026.
As part of the GIFTS-ADEFT Summit, the workshop features a “fault-free" dual submission option with Management Science. The event will feature an in-person keynote address by Sydney Ludvigson, the Julius Silver, Roslyn S. Silver, and Enid Silver Winslow Professor of Economics and Finance, New York University and Director of the NBER Program on Asset Pricing.
Workshop
The inaugural workshop will feature in-person paper presentations. Papers on any topics related to AI and Big Data in Finance may be submitted through the workshop portal below.
Conference organizers may recommend a small set of papers submitted for presentation at the conference and workshop to the collaborating editors to be invited for dual submissions to Management Science. For interested authors, please indicate whether you would like your conference submission to be considered for potential recommendations to the journal.
Deadline: September 20, 2026, anywhere on earth.
There is no submission fee. Submissions may be randomly assigned to AI reviewers. Authors will be notified of the decision by October 15, 2026.
Doctoral Research Symposium
Following the success of the inaugural symposium in 2025, the second ABFR Doctoral Research Symposium will feature both in-person and online paper presentations as part of the ABFR Workshop. The symposium is intended for PhD job market candidates and junior faculty within three years of graduation with papers on any topics related to AI and Big Data in Finance.
Participation in the Doctoral Research Symposium requires both a faculty nomination and submission of the candidate’s paper.

There is no submission fee.
Candidates selected for in-person paper presentations at the doctoral symposium are eligible for funding by GIFTS@NTU to cover travel and accommodation up to SGD 1,500.
Symposium candidates, please submit your paper using the form below to indicate interest in presenting at the ABFR Doctoral Research Symposium. In the form, you may opt in to be included on the Job Candidate List section of the ABFR website for the 2026-2027 academic year.
